Day 5: Alkmaar Cheese Market/Auction

We got to sleep in late today and started out around 8 am to travel by train to the nearby city of Alkmaar for their cheese auction on the square.  It was a wonderful event that has been carried out in the same manner for hundre3ds of years.  I had also arrange a nice lady to take give us a close up view of the auction and scale house then a walking tour of the city.  The 9 of us on this outing had a nice lunch at an Italian café along a canal.

After a quick trip to our apartment to drop off cheese purchase we were straight back out for our reserved time at the Anne Frank House for their moving tour then off we went to the van Gogh museum since it was open until 10 on Friday nights and had dinner in their café and then enjoyed the art with a DJ, VJ and bar set up for the Friday night event.
……another long day
