Day 11: Strasbourg, France

Another beautiful sunny day!  We had a canal ride around Strasbourg followed by a visit inside Notre Dame Cathedral (all Cathedrals in France are called Notre Dame) and it was beautiful.  It had beautiful stained glass windows and also houses a very old astronomical clock.  Back to the boat for lunch then we had a choice of afternoon activities.  Tim chose to nap and I went back into town for a little shopping.  Other option was an Alsace Countryside tour of the wine villages for additional cost.

We are enjoying the river cruise very much.  There are 116 people on our sailing and almost everything is included with river cruises.  We have had local guides meet us at all ports and give us an overview of their city, which you can tell they love.  The first 3 we had said their city was the most important city on the Rhine and all 3 gave compelling tours/reasons why.

Brian's favorite tomato is in Germany too!
