We woke up at 5:30 in time to see the other 4 off from our window as they took a cab to the train station for their journey to Paris . We then went back to bed until 9 and had a nice breakfast at the hotel. They put out a big spread with lots of variety for breakfast but Tim ate light this morning after getting sick through the night last night. He thinks it was from overeating at dinner last night.
Reggio-Emilia is a delightful town. Yesterday was a holiday and a lot of the shops were closed but today, Saturday, everyone in town was out window shopping. The only souvenir shop we saw all day was a tobacconist with just a handful of souvenirs. It is such a change to be in a foreign town which isn’t filled with tourist. We only saw a handful of people who looked like tourist. We had a very nice walk for a few hours and when the shops started closing at 1 to 1:30 pm for lunch we decided to follow suit and take an afternoon nap until they opened back up at 3:30. We had another walk around town with a little shopping then a nice dinner to end a leisurely day.
