Day 14: Easter in the Alps

Part of our cruising group were staying in Lucerne so they took the 7 a.m. train to Interlaken and we got on when it stopped in Brienz, then hooked up with one more couple staying in Interlaken and headed up into the Alps to Murren, had a walk through town then the cable car on up to the Schilthorn (elevation 9780 ft) where I had arranged lunch for the group.  God smiled on us today and we were treated to almost cloudless skies and beautiful views from the mountaintop.  We were prepared for very cold weather but had hardly any wind and had to take our jackets off except at the very highest elevations.  After we came down to the Lauterbrunnen Valley we took a 2 hour walk between 2 huge cliffs and past a lot of waterfalls.  Although tiring, it was a beautiful walk.
