Tim & Joy's Travels: Day 9: Ticket to Ride……..to Liverpool

We woke up to a sunny morning and mild temperatures, much better than the 90-100 degree days we had in Paris. We really have had great weather with the only rain of the trip yesterday, but only while we were driving or inside relaxing. Once again, we had a good breakfast in the executive lounge of the hotel then finished packing.

Today I had booked spa appoints for the women and to surprise Janice with her first massage. I figured we would need it to re-energize for the second half of our trip. It was wonderful and Janice really enjoyed it. Yet another OMG experience. Tim and I are thrilled they are enjoying the trip so much and they are very good travel companions. We had had a lot of laughs!

After the massages we found the guys outside waiting with the luggage then we were off to the train station for the 2 ¼ hour ride to Liverpool. Janice and I got out of the spa a little later then expected, so we had to hurry onto the train but made it with a few minutes to spare. We had first class tickets and it was very nice. We are staying in a 2 bedroom apart-hotel in Liverpool and it is huge with a big balcony. We got laundry started in the small washer/dryer combo machine then had a nice dinner in one of the restaurants downstairs after which we looked around Liverpool One, the huge mall across the street. Janice found her a very cute pair of shoes. Back to the apartment for a early night in anticipating our Beatles tour tomorrow.
