Countdown to Italy

Stacy and Henderson’s wedding was a huge success last weekend.  Their photographer is still editing photos and I didn't take many picutes, but here is a few from rehearsal and the photo booth at the wedding.

We are now in full swing preparing for another travel adventure.  We are headed off to Italy on Thursday, starting with a drive to JFK airport in New York City.  Traveling together this trip are: Tim and Joy, the newlyweds Stacy & Henderson and Becky, Brian & Joe.   We will fly to Naples, Italy then spend a couple nights in Sorrento enjoying the incredible views of the Amalfi coast, wonderful food, and replenishing our stash of lemon candy.   Next up is a train ride to Florence where we will see Michelangelo’s “David” sculpture and shop for leather and gold after which another train ride will bring us to our final destination of Venice where we will spend 5 glorious days in one of our favorite cities in the world.  This will be the Adam’s first trip to Europe and we are looking forward to sharing our love of travel with our grandson Joe who is 6 years old.  He is eagerly anticipating eating gelato, going to the cheese store, and pa-sketti (spaghetti).  He is a little scared of boats, but looking forward to a gondola ride as long as he can sit beside granny.
This is a fairly aggressive itinerary to do in 9 days and we hope to find time to post a few pictures as we go along.  If we get behind, I will catch it up after we return home.
