Arrival in Sorrento

as reported by Brian and Becky Adams

What a day we have had! We got to see the Statue of Liberty from a distance and crossed the Hudson River in the cars on our trek to the JFK airport for our flight.  After we got to Dublin, Ireland, we didn’t get to see much besides a few jack rabbits outside the window running around in the runway field at the airport.  Here we were in shorts and t-shirt’s and it was 46 degrees in Ireland! haha. Once we arrived in Italy, the weather was the perfect temperature.  It has been such a beautiful day here today but we are all really tired and some what zombies!!  When we arrived in Naples, Italy, it was around 11am local time but we were working off of Tennessee time which was only .  Our first meal here in Sorrento was out of this world!  We had buffalo mozzarella, prosciutto ham, olives, and a local-made cheese as an appetizer.  Then we had three big pizzas which were like no other pizza we had ever put in our mouths!  It was everything it was talked up to be.  We could hardly believe how good the mozzarella cheese was!!!  Joe was loving it too, he has been so good to keep a hold of our hands while we have been running around.  He fell in love with the gelato (ice cream) at first bite.  We have taken several pictures today and will try to get them posted tomorrow.  We visited a leather shoe maker today here in Sorrento and plan on going back tomorrow to see about getting a personal fitting for leather loafers/sandals.  The leather is as soft as butter!  Oh my goodness, its amazing how quality driven these people are with their craftsmanship.  More tomorrow….CIAO!!!
